The Annual MAMMOTH HOLIDAY BAZAAR 2014 Event Page: https://www.facebook.com/events/747536195325989/ the MAMMOTH ART Space Louisville

The Mammoth currently has one events planned for December 20 12-6pm. Please stay tuned. We will be working in the coming weeks and months to attain a permanent certificate of occupancy for assembly, allowing us to host more events. If you would like to contribute time, funds, or skill to help out, please email: aron@themammoth.org or text 502-758-8338

The third floor, LEVEL 3 of the Mammoth is a storage facility. To learn more about our lowest rates for storage in the area, visit our storage website:

A million thanks to amazing friends who helped attain the unattainable to achieve getting temporary certificates of occupancy for our December 2012 events. We got so much done with so little time and made the Artist Syndicate show and the Holiday Bazaar possible. The community kicked in gear and it wastruly amazing what we got done. In fact, all the work we did in 2012 was simply amazing!

Although we wish we were better equipped to fit all the artists and musicians in immediately, we currently don't have all the funds to build out broadly and open up quickly. Since the Mammoth has hosted its last two events of 2012, we are are going into phantom-mode, hibernation for the winter... closing the doors until we are compliant and legal with city codes and regulations. Once the MAMMOTH has a change of use permit for assembly occupancy in hand, we will start planning to buildout studios and band practice spaces. Until then the MAMMOTH will be working on attaining storage business.

And so, here we go, folks....
Onward and Upward!!!

STORAGE: Dear Friends - Do you have a storage space? What would it take in order for The MAMMOTH to earn your storage business? Many of the storage facilities in Louisville are corporate chains. We have two floors in The MAMMOTH that are locked down and dedicated to storage. Letting us earn your business will help to generate extra funds to put in bathrooms, improve the event space, and start to build studios for artists. We can handle big and small storage needs, residential and commercial. Please spread the word! We are depending on our strong social network, and we are willing to work hard to provide excellent service. Contact for quotes! =)

If you or someone you know would like to support the progress at the MAMMOTH by moving your storage to our space, please get in touch by email - info@themammoth.org Here's our beautiful web-sized brochure:

Why we're doing this: >Besides needing large studio spaces near our living space, and wanting a community of people to work around, we recognize that there's a problem with the fact that Louisville has very little in the way of artists run warehouse space. We know other people also think that Louisville needs a place for new possibilities. This is an opportunity for people with dreams, skills and energy to come together and make something as a community. Imagine another local art cooperative/ more art studios/ open meeting spaces/ an installation space and art gallery/ live/work spaces/ an independent media center/ band practice spaces/a great live music venue/ a truly unique film viewing space/ a recording studio/ an underground local music.art museum/ more community gardens and green space/ sculpture gardens/and who knows what else? Access to an open workable, community run space will give artists and other creatives an opportunity to invest in themselves by having the choice to either rent or (eventually) purchase the space they work in year after year, while themselves being able to interact with other artists and like-minded people. It's up to the community to work together and make things happen here. Get in touch and let's see what's possible.
